Capturing Life's Beauty One Photo at a Time
The wrought iron gate opens into the snowy distance.
Photo captured at Fabyan Park in Geneva, Illinois.
Is that the entrance to the Adams’ mansion? :)…Just joking!
Good shot Brian!
…of the Addams family? Don’t think so! Appreciate the comment.
The gate is lovely, and so is the sky.
Sandy, thank you very much for the feedback!
Great use of lines in your image.
I appreciate your comment — thanks!
Fantastic shot Brian… no words to describe 🙂
Joanna, thank you very much!
Very nice. Love the composition and lines.
Thanks, Maralee! I really liked the symmetry, leading lines and sky. I appreciate the support.
Love this! And how fun that there is actually no fence on either side of the gate. Were they really serious about keeping folks out? 🙂 Love your shots.
Lilly, thank you so much for the warm words!
You make an excellent point about the lack of a fence. The gate must have been intended purely for decorative purposes. It was an old mansion that was later converted to a park.
what a fabulous entry and wow, the use of leading lines shows off the depth in this image perfectly!
Thanks for your insight, Tammy. I appreciate your continued support!
those gates are very welcoming, opening outward, and it is nice to know that the property is now a park.
It’s a lovely property, and the gates opening outward add a distinctive (welcoming) touch. Thanks so much, Vicki!
I appreciate the comment — thanks!
Great composition! I feel like there are a world of possibilities awaiting as you pass through the gates.
Thanks for the great comment, Carl!
I love the scroll work on the gate as well as the two cement posts it is attached to. Really lovely shot.
You’re right, the scroll work is beautiful. Thank you very much, Angeline!
Love the composition 🙂
Thank you very much!
It’s so inviting! I just want to step through and follow the path. Great photo! 🙂
It’s a great park — thank you for the feedback!
Great, Brian. Did you get any close-ups of the carvings on the pedestals? They look really interesting but I can’t make them out clearly.
I didn’t get any close-ups, Dave, but since I go that park/forest preserve periodically, I can get some next time. I believe they are carvings of eagles, but can’t be sure.
I watch. I check your site nearly every day.
Nice photo!! I just like all that snow and the way these gates are open.. it just makes me want to run straight into it and play in the snow!
Thank you very much for the feedback, Hindupur!
Fantastic composition and colours!!
Thank you very much, Santi!
