WOW! At first I just noticed the cross in the foreground, then the one at the base of the tree. All of a sudden I saw the many little crosses twinkling at me. An amazing photo.
I wonder what the crosses represent? I notice that you’ve cross-referenced it “franciscans” and wonder if this might be a cemetary of some sort? Or perhaps the “Stations of the Cross”???? Very interesting photograph.
The Franciscans used to own the property, and I suppose the crosses reference past souls. Perhaps they are buried there, although I am not certain. Here is a link regarding the property. Thanks so much.
