I once asked a fellow self-professed ‘lighting designer, “What color is a shadow?” His answer: “Gray.”
Well, that was wrong, because a shadow is the opposite color of the light being cast to create the shadow…only if the light is very white will the shadow appear gray…except in your and my manipulated digital shots (haha!)!!
