Capturing Life's Beauty One Photo at a Time
Life is never straight and easy.
Photo taken in New Buffalo, Michigan.
Brian, that lone figure just makes the picture. Good job. — Ray
Wonderful image! Such a story here.
Hi Pat, thank you very much.
I’m wondering where YOU were when you took that photo…at the back of a train? 🙂 Love the photo!
Thanks, Carol! I was high above on the highway bridge, snapping away…
Indeed! It is more like a labyrinth, twisting in unexpected places, giving glimpses only in the distance of a road less taken…
Well stated, Melody. Thank you!
Amazing shot Brian, really dark, lonesome. The almost ghostly figure (i’m assuming is a man) walking besides the tracks just haunts you. Excellent work.
Lucianus, I appreciate your thoughtful observations.
Photography touches you in ways which resembles your own consciousness.
Amen to that! Nice photo too!
Wayne, thank you!
Definitely a story photo!
Thanks very much, Southern Belle!
Exceptional photo, amazing wow! great what more can I say. Cheers callie
Hi Callie, thank you very much!
The figure in the shot brings feelings of pity, aloness. I was sad for about thirty seconds, that person has you. I can tell you would rescue her If she got in trouble, like some madman would tie her to the tracks…..ok I’m done. Sorry
I trust that I am a person of conscience first, a photographer second.
Love the atmosphere in this. Great perspective.
Thank you, Inga.
Wow! Incredible photo op to have been there at the time this person was walking along the track. Great photo!
Thank you, Angeline!
Sonali, thank you.
Lovely shot! Or should I say lonely! Fabulous and says so much so simply
Lucy, thanks for the comment!
I love that pic, it makes me want to see what’s around the corner.
Vicky, thanks so much!
I love this ‘documentary’ type of photo, where the photo tells a story. I like that the lone figure is echoed in a small tree he or she is about to pass by. That is also part of the story. Ann
Ann, thank you so much for the great comment!
I’m impressed. Beautiful photo.
Behind the curve … is the goal … another curve?
Yes, the endless curves of life…
Brian, the caption above the picture is great and is a great complement to the picture.
Ivon, thank you very much for the kind words.
I’m wondering if I may post this image on my blog and write a poem for it – I would of course link back to your site and give you proper credit. Let me know what you think!
That would be great, Melody. I look forward to reading the poem. Thanks.
Now there’s a story! How do you land up in such places, Brian? Do you sit around waiting for the perfect moment or do you just happen to be there, perchance?
Once in a while, opportunity knocks.
… and again back in time…
Great shot, of course.
Did you shoot this in infra red?
Thanks. No, this is not infrared.
That man casts a scary figure next to those rail tracks – like a shot out of a horror movie. Great shot.
I appreciate your comment, Stevie. Thanks.
Thank you so much!
