Fabric of Our Freedom
The beauty of a democracy is that we retain a unique voice — a voice to express, acquiesce, or protest. The winds of time may shift and skies may threaten, but the fabric of our freedom will not yield, withstanding any tumult while growing stronger and more vibrant with each passing storm.
Wow…really nice photo!
Thank you, Carol. I was really pleased with the outcome of this serendipitous shot.
Beautiful photograph and amazing title. Loved it. Blessing and Happiness. Thank you, love, nia
Nia, I appreciate your suppport. Thank you!
Caught the flag at the right moment.
Have a question tho (which the ‘net didn’t seem to have the answer to) and that is: why are sections of fabric sewn together to create the American flag, rather than having one piece of fabric printed on both sides to create the flag? To keep up the tradition of the first flag being sewn together?
I’m definitely not a flag expert, Emilio, so I’ll have to do some research. In the meantime, perhaps another individual can add some commentary. Thanks.
Well written and photographed.
Thanks for the kind words, Marita.

Pat, thank you!
Love the vibrant red… I tried to get a good flag picture for memorial day but there wasn’t any wind in San Diego so all of the shots were boring!!! Great capture 🙂
What a shame to live in San Diego — sunny, 75 degrees year round, mountains, beach, blue skies….
hahaha… I knew that was coming as soon I clicked reply 🙂 I’ll keep my mouth shot and just enjoy the imagery then….
Lovely post–wonderful photo and words to accomany it!

The flag, with all its windy-appearance, has filled the frame very well. Nice picture!

Ol’ Glory captured at her finest. Nice job!

that’s a great shot; hard to do with something that’s as photographed as the flag!
Thank you, Derrick.
